Report on the World Scholars Cup
Students of K.R. Mangalam World School, Vaishali participated in ‘The World’s Scholar’s Cup’ which is a worldwide competition that inspires and motivates students of all backgrounds to discover new strengths and practise new skills. The competition was hosted by Sun City School in Gurgaon on 28th and 29th April, 2018 and more than 100 schools participated in the competition.
The event comprised of academic competitions such as debate, Collaborative Writing, quizzes etc. All of these events centeredaround a sex-subject syllabus with content from this year’s theme of “An Entangled World”. Content studied by students included topics such as memory, cryptocurrency, diplomacy, and much more.
30 students from our school participated in it and qualified for the global round to be held in Melborne/Barcelona. Our students were excited and prepared to their full capacity for the competition. 27 out of 30 of our students won silver and gold medals. The happiness of the students knew no bounds. The competition was an inclusive, encouraging, interdisciplinary, discussion –based and team-oriented and out students had a great learning and experience.
