REPORT ON EXCURSION : LOTUS TEMPLE
CLASS- VIII TO X
DATE – 16TH APRIL 2019 DAY – TUESDAY
“Whenever you should doubt your self-worth, remember the lotus flower. Even though it plunges to life from beneath the mud, it does not allow the dirt that surrounds it to affect its growth or beauty.”
― Suzy Kassem, Rise Up and Salute the Sun: The Writings of Suzy Kassem
The Lotus temple is considered an icon of peace and acentuates the skyline of our historical capital. On 16th April, 2019, students of classes VIII to X visited the Lotus Temple as a part of the Excursion to places of worship.
The children were excited to be going there, as they had not been before. They had been told about it in class and the pictures shown to them made them curious. We were greeted very warmly by the volunteers at the Temple, who we realised were not Indian!. The students were really drawn in the magical world of unity and were greatly inspired. The trip was an enriching experience for them.
