PROVIDE LEARNING EXPERIENCE

Out of the classroom, we provide International Exchange Programmes, Monthly Excursions, Students Workshops, etc.

While academics is the main focus of the school, the learning experience provided to the students goes far beyond academics and out of the classroom. The theory of multiple intelligences states that children learn in different ways – keeping this in mind, several projects have been undertaken in the school that give the students hands-on, real-time and experiential learning that is not restricted to the academic field alone.

Excursions open a wide-ranging gateway of exploration and awaken the quest to discover the new dimensions of the world and provide a unique and informal way of learning. It enhances the knowledge of the students beyond the four walls of the classroom. We strive in weaving varied opportunities for the students to discover and solidify their knowledge.

STUDENT WORKSHOPS

Student workshops are held regularly on topics such as Career guidance, Women’s safety, Cyber security, Peer pressure, Social courtesies, Traffic safety, Stream selection, Substance abuse, etc.

GUEST LECTURES & DIGNITARY INTERACTIONS

Dignitaries from various fields are invited to the school to interact with the students and give them insight into their achievements. These include women achievers, dignitaries from the performing arts field, educationists, defense personnel, eminent environmentalists, etc.

LEADERSHIP CAMP

An annual leadership camp is held over four days for the students of all classes wherein the students go through various tasks and activities that help them strategise and become effective leaders. These camps may be held in either on / off-campus mode.

CLUBS

Weekly club periods give the students an exposure to nearly 25 different activities. These club activities are compulsory and the students are required to choose a club in each of the two terms. These include sports, games, music, dance, art, craft, pottery, environment, self-defence, theatre, robotics, astronomy, sculpture, culinary arts, multimedia and animation etc..

STAGE PRESENTATIONS (CLASS / HOUSE / SCHOOL)

To provide stage exposure to the students, Class assemblies, Class Presentations and Annual Presentations are organised to develop stage confidence.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMME

School’s Community Outreach Programmes have been an integral part of the school since its inception and one of the foundational principles of the school. NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL DAYS

All national and international days are celebrated in school. Students deliver a talk and an audio biography about the dignitary of the day in the daily assembly – this is done on a rotational basis so that students learn the art of public speaking.

MUN

Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations where students play the role of delegates from different countries and attempt to solve real-world issues with the policies and perspectives of their assigned country. This activity takes place at MUN conferences, which is usually organized by a high school or college MUN club. It aims to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy, and The United Nations agenda.

STUDENT COUNCIL

Student council is a great way for students to take on leadership roles, promote the voice of the student body, solve problems and impact his or her community. The function of the student council is based upon parliamentary procedures. Ideas are presented, voted upon and confirmed by the student body president.
